When the Peoples Choice awards come, I bet you the Dixie Chicks dont win anything

I'm a big fan of the Police, but I was really disappointed that they played Roxanne. Easily thier worst song. Sure, it was thier breaktrhough hit, but they have many songs that are way better than Roxanne. Why not Every Breath You Take? Or Message in a Bottle? King of Pain?

I love country music and the Dixie Chicks. The last album, HOME, was their best.

I live near Lubbock, Texas and get their radio and TV. This morning the talk shows were polarized and angry in their debate over the Dixie Chicks. Lubbock has a Walk of Fame for famous area folks like Buddy, Holly, Bob Wills, Waylon Jennings, Roy Orbison but more folks you have not heard of. They won't put Natalie Maines on the Walk of Fame even though she grew up there in Lubbock. None of Lubbock's radio stations will play the Dixie Chicks. They won five grammies and were at the mic five times. They were polite and didn't say anything too controversial.

I support them 100%. Lloyd Maines, Natalie's father, is a dear friend of mine and has been for thirty years. Natalie continues to make tens of millions of dollars. Hooray for her.

Nah dood- crass, deadkennedys, pistols, operation ivy- all that early punk was waaay way commie/anarchist (all that really early anarchy shit had lots of commie aspects bout it) -- Not a rage fan, and thier politics does piss me off, but for bands whose muzack i like i could care less bout thier politics-- Buut, as everyone worth his intellectual salt knows, double standards are tite.
