200$ NL 6max

Postby gsdavid » Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:46 pm

So, here are some of the hands from 200s that I want opinions on.

#1) I limp [8c] [9c] UTG since its 5 handed and there are 3 shorstacks that keep on pushing AI on my preflop raises. The only decent player at the table, who is a 30/8/2.1 reg. makes it 10$ OTB and I'm the only caller

Pot 23$, Flop [7c] [Qs] [3c] . I check, he bets 16$ and I CR to 48$. He just flat calls
Pot 119$ Turn [Tc] I decide to bet 70$ as I am quite sure he will check turn with any higher club. To my suprise he pushes AI and i decide to call 87$ more

Thoughts on flop? I usually 3-bet instead of CRAI because for some reason I'm yet to see someone fold AQ, KQ KK, AA, two pair or better no matter how scary the board is, so pushing seems almost like spewing. Any alternative lines on turn?

#2) Blind Wars, its the same villian as in hand 1. I raise
[Qs] [Ad] in SB to 7$ and he flat calls

Pot 14$ Flop [Qd] [Kd] [7d] I bet 11$, he raises me to 33$ and I reraise him back to 111$. Without much thinking he pushes AI and I call. We both have full stacks at start. Standard?

#3) Villian in this hand is a complete fish, he has 94$ at start and plays 41/10/2.3
I have a small number of hands on him, but I'm yet to see him fold a TP or 2nd Pair.
I raise [Qc] [Ah] in CO to 8$ and he is the only caller

Pot 19 $, Flop [3h] [7c] [Ad] I bet 15$ he calls
Pot 49$ Turn [Js] I decide to bet 30$ and he calls again
Pot 110$ Rriver [Th], villian has 41$ behind, thoughts on what to do now? turn and river are just about 2 worst possible cards in deck

#4) I've noticed that lately I'm playing small draws too aggresively, in hopes that when I push my draw they will fold..How bad is this play?
Villian is a 18/8.5/1.4 reg. and we both have full stacks, and its 5 handed
I raise [Jh] [Ah] UTG to 8$ and above villian is the only caller

Pot 17$ Flop [8s] [9s] [Th] I check, he bets 12$ i reraise to 36$, He goes AI and I call..

#5) Villian in this hand is also a regular, we both have full stacks and he is running at 17/12/4.2 over larger sample with 3..1 preflop aggresion

Im dealt [9d] [9c] OTB, i raise to 8$ and villian reraises me to 26$. I decide to call and possibly set mine

Pot 53$, Flop [8s] [7s] [6h] he bets 36$ a bet which is not showing much strenght out of position.. I figure he could have a some sort of AK, or a smaller overpair so i decide to push AI into him for 140$ more. Thoughts? Basically my thinking was that he is either reraisng with AQ AK or TT+. So question is, what would you do if you have the same 99 and flop comes 752 rainbow and he bets the same amount? How would u try to figure out if he has overcard? tnx

#6) This is the last hand for the post, and I am quite sure that this the most misplayed hand of them all in my 20k 200s database. Its so ugly it hurts to watch :/
both villians in hand are typical weekend fish with 40/15/2, table is ultra loose for this limit, with VPIP of 35, possibly 40
There are 2 loose limpers in MP and CO and i decided to raise [As] [Jh] to 12$ OTB. SB shortstack with 31$ pushes imediately and a large stack(270$ at start, i have him covered) calls the raise and i decide to call as well because i figured i should be ahead of the large stacks range

Pot 99$, Flop [Jd] [7h] [Th] . Villian quickly check calls my 68$ bet
Pot 235$ Turn [9s] villian quickly checks and i push for 175$ more..When I think of the hand im pretty sure its not tilt, there was some history behind this(I think he coud't fold a hand like JK JQ and such) but the turn is so ugly that basically now im not beating any logical hand besides JQ JK)
Do i bet flop 75-80$? check turn and then call a 120$ bet on river if villian bets 1/2 pot?? problem is that pot is so large that even with large stacks we already have more than 235$ in pot while our remaining stack sizes are 175$

"#3 pencils and quadrille pads."

"Interesting - I use a Mac to help me design the next Cray."
