My daughter has a school project for her kindergarten class to write a few points of interest on an a Symbol of America.

Here are some ideas I came up with.

The Combat Boot: Used to push the impoverished and freedom loving peoples of the worlds face into the mud on every continent, the combat boot would be a good symbol of American imperialism and oppression in the world.

The Dollar Used on the world monetary system to undermine the value of third world currencies so American companies can steal their natural resource and use their cheap labor to make products that the exploited cannot even afford to buy the dollar is a recognized symbol of American imperialism and oppression in the world.

The SUV its production steals the natural resources of the world. Its fuel fund the repression of the poor while enriching the few. Its exhaust belches black smoke which clogs our skies and warms our planet, further threatening the fragile existence or our most vulnerable; the SUV is well known symbol of American imperialism and oppression in the world

The Cowboy The cowboy rode West laying waste to all in his path, he starved and murdered the indigenous people of America. His cattle raped the land stripping it bare grazing and poising the water with its waste. His guns slaughtered the native animals without mercy. The cowboy is a well known symbol of symbol of American imperialism and oppression in the world

The Turkey Once a proud symbol of America, the that has been caged, mutilated, and commercialized for the capitalistic interests that drive Americas imperialism and oppression. The turkey was hunted relentlessly and driven from much of its natural range. The turkey is a symbol of Americas capitalistic self interest.

The Bald Eagle The bald eagle soars in the air, out of reach of any predator while it searches for hapless, defenseless prey. It swoops down with out warning, digs its claws into its helpless victims and steals them away to feed upon at its leisure. The bald eagle is a symbol of the arrogance that drives Americas imperialist desires.

I voted for the boot for the reason you gave, and also because hopefully it'll wind you up.
