hand 1: No real read on the villain. I think he may be a little loose, but not really sure since i don't have many hands with him. he has $770, i cover.

I'm dealt [6c][3c] in the BB. EP limps. villain limps, SB limps, i check.

4-way flop. $24 pot. comes [7c][5c][4s]. yum. SB bets 18, i raise to 60. villain calls and SB folds.

HU turn. $162 pot. comes the [3s]. kind of an annoying card. I bet $125. Villain calls.

HU river. $412 pot. comes the [3h]. I check. Villain bets $240. I call.

Hand 2
Villain in this hand runs about 17/10/4. He's incredibly aggressive both pre and post flop, loves to play back at people - especially me apparantly. I thought about repopping him preflop, but the last few times i had done that I had CB'ed the flop and he pushed. I didn't feel like having that happen again. Effective stacks are $600

I'm dealt [Ac][Qs] in the SB. he opens to $24 OTB. I call, BB calls.

$72 pot. FLop comes [9d][9s][4s]. checks around.
turns the [Ah]. I bet out $30. he makes it $90. I call.

$252 pot. rivers the [3s]. I check, he bets $180, i call.

hand 3: Villain is decent at worst. runs about 20/7/2 and a slight winner over about a thousand hands. effective stacks are $750.

he opens to $24 UTG call in MP with 99.

HU, $57 pot. Flop comes 982r. he checks, i bet $24, he calls.
HU, $105 pot. Turn comes a rainbow completing ace. he checks, I bet $72. he calls.
HU, $250 pot. Rivers another ace. he checks, I bet $180.

hand 4:
initial raiser (EP) is the same villain from hand 2. SB is the same villain from hand 1. EP has 700. I have 600. SB has 400.

i'm dealt [As][Kc] in LP. EP opens to $24. MP calls. I make it $90. SB cold calls. EP calls, MP folds.

3 way flop. $300 pot. comes out [7s][4s][9s]. checks around.
turns the [2s]. SB bets out $100. EP folds. i just call.
$500 pot. rivers a blank. SB has $200 left and checks. I bet $130

hand 5. villain has $430. I have no read whatsoever.

I'm dealt AK in EP and open to $24. he's my only caller.
HU. $58 pot. flop comes KJ9. I bet out $36. he calls.
HU. $130 pot. turns another K. I bet $72. he makes it $204 and has $155 behind. I push.

hand 6:

4 handed table. only been here a few hands and they've all been walks so far.

I open to 18 with QJ. BB calls. he has $460
HU. $36 pot. Flop comes T93. He checks, I bet $24, he calls.
HU. $87 pot. Turns a Q. he checks, i bet $54, he min raises. I call.
HU $280 pot. Rivers a 2. he bets $54. I call.

Thoughts on any of these hands?

Hand 1: Awful turn and river card, overall played fine. I think you might have chopped this one. It really doesnt smell like a set so I cant really see any other way the paired 3 makes him a boat.

Hand 2: I bet this turn because it looks like you are betting the scare card.

Hand 3: The river is really good for you either way, either he makes 3 aces or the ace pairing make his pair look better, or looking like you 98 could have gotten counterfitted. I could give the make a larger bet argument and make it looks like a bluff. Though still like the way you played it.

Hand 4: I don't see any reason to save him $70 on the river, with the pot size he is going to have to call all in with any hand that he calls the $130 with.

Hand 5: I really don't like your spot to tell you the truth the way you played the hand it should be very apparent to villain what you have, you can hope that villian has QQ or KQ, KT, but I still say 50/50 your behind. I don't think there is any way you are folding so go ahead and push you have outs no matter what.

Hand 6:Fine, I disagree with Devbert here, I fire another shell, there are now a lot of hands that you beat. When he mins you have to call, and the tiny ass river bet means either weak blocking bet or monster and you win enough to make that call pretty easily.

Results:
hand 1: seems like the general consensus is that it's standard. Opponent had [Jc][2c].

hand 2: I figured i'd get some heat for this. On the turn I couldn't see him having the flush, since he's the sort that would have bet a flush draw on the flop. Since I didn't give him credit for a big ace in the first place, I wasn't really worried about AK. but you guys are right, in general I should have 3-bet this preflop instead of just calling OOP. Still, he had [Ks][Td]. It just didn't make sense for him to hold a hand that beat me here. maybe 99 or 44, but that was really it as far as I could see

hand 3: So we go from "bet smaller to induce a raise" to "standard" to "bet bigger because he's going to call". I thought it was pretty obvious he had AK the way he played it (which he did), and i'm not convinced he could call much bigger without having to wonder why i'd bet so small on the flop before bumping up the price

hand 4: Yeah you guys are right. no reason to be cute and bet so small on the river. Anyone think I should have just jammed the turn? My thinking was that I should just let him hang himself with the [Ks]

hand 5: I wnated really badly to fold this, but without any read I thought I'd felt like maybe his range was bigger than the QT he actually held. I of course missed the boat, which is only fair considering I needed to run one off to win the thing in the first place. pff.

hand 6: I'm suprised how many of you get passive when you turn TP here. But i see your point - the bet invites a raise from either a better hand or a bluff, while the check keeps the pot smaller and lets me get to a showdown. Once he check min-raised I had no intention of calling the river unless I made my straight, but once he bet so incredibly small I was thrown off and couldn't fold it. Sadly, he had KQ and dragged.
