It was my 10th hand at this table. Still early in the $10r- about 625 left, so a ton of donks in the field. I've never done something like this and I just tested it. Honestly, I was kinda' goofin around 'cause I ran bad in the rebuy period and honestly was getting a little bored. My normal line here would be to lead for 750-1000 and either shove the flop or call and lead for half my stack on the turn.

Is this bad?

You only push the turn like that if your plan was to check/fold the turn if a scare card came. But if your plan was to check/fold the turn if a scare card came, you might as well have pushed on the flop when he raised you. I'd think you're more likely to see him with a draw (or draws) or an overpair here, and he might just be dumb enough to call with JJ or TT, but likely folds the draw.

That's a long way of arguing for a push on the flop.
