The following is a series of hands in which I tangled with a maniac. He was 2 to my right.
If he didn't raise before the flop, he called any raise and potted it on the flop. He frequently pushed as well. I've been running badly this week and need some feedback on these hands.

HAND 1 - Early on.... Me ($55.30) Him ($45.30)
He limps, I raise [Qh] MP1 to $2, BB and maniac call.
[5h][2c] Pot $6.25
He bets pot, I ????

Now the next 3 hands came consecutively one after the other vs him.
ME $59.40 HIM $54.55
HAND 2 - 2 limpers, he raises to $2 in MP1, I call [Jd] CO. 1 limper calls.
[2d][3s] Pot $7.25
He bets pot, I float. limper folds. Heads up on the turn.
Pot $21.75
He bets $5.50, I ????? (I really think this is the worst hand I played against him. You guys can probably confirm that I played that badly.)

HAND 3 - 3 limpers and I raise to $3.25 [Jh] 2 off the button. 1 limper and maniac call.
[5s][6s] Pot $11
Checked to me. I hate this flop, but I bet $6.50. Maniac calls
Pot $24
He bets $12, I have $21.90 left. I ????

HAND 4 - He limps, I limp UTG+1 [4c], both blinds play.
[2c][6s] Pot $2
BB bets $1, maniac raises to $3.50. He has $41 left. I cover. I ????

HAND 5 - Not long after. About an orbit later. He raises to $2 and I call w/ [Tc] in CO
[3s][6c] Pot $5.25
He checks, I bet $4, he calls
Pot $13.25
He checks, I bet $8, he calls
Pot $29.25
He bets pot, I ????

1: Raise and be happy to get all in.

2: Call and hope to improve to 2pr+. Raising is not an option.

3: Reraise preflop to isolate and get more money in while you're 99.9% sure that you're good. As played, I prolly check the turn and call a lot of river bets. Gotta fold to this river pretty easily.

Hand 2, Why not push the flop?

Hand 3, bet pot on the flop...or check. 6.50 is weak.

Hand 1- [Qh]
I re-raised to $15.50 and he folded. The 1st and only time I think I saw him lay it down. I didn't know he was such a nut at that point so I was actually considering folding to a push.

Hand 2 - [Jd] BK, you're right. That is where I was thinking I messed up afterwards or at least not pushing the turn.
At the time figured I was getting tremendous odds on the turn so I just called. He checked the river and I bet $13 into a $32 pot which he instantly called with Ac4c. Said he knew I was on a busted draw.

Hand 3 - [Jh] Since this hand was immediately following, I didn't have time to reload yet so I started with about $30. I only bet $6.50 on the flop because there was a 3rd player sitll in the hand and I wanted to see what he did and a bigger bet would have pot committed me. That flop had EFF ME written all over it.
Once the other guy was out of the hand I had made up my mind to push any safe turn and I did. Maniac called with Ac 8s

Hand 4 - [4c]
I shoved. I figured at least 9 outs and probably up to 14. I didn't want the 3rd guy to stick around with a Ten. I had no problem shoving and playing a big pot with this hand vs the maniac. There may even be a small (10% or less) chance he folds which made the play definitely profitable in my mind. Maniac called, of course, and turned over 6h 2h. Some of my outs were gone, but I hit the Td on the turn for the split (unless a 3,4, or club came on the river giving me the entire pot). 2d on the river to give him the 2 out resuck. I know I played the 2nd hand poorly, but I'm unsure of this one. Results oriented?

Hand 5 - [Tc]
I folded. He showed me [Qh] and laughed. Maybe I deserved it.

He finished up about 2 buy-ins over 120 hands playing that way. Pretty sick.

playing 6 4 suited against a maniac isn't really a good idea. The idea is to play better hands against him and let him bluff or call down with a worse hand and get paid off, not play hands that could be dominated and gamble it up
