Tain network. For those of you who've never played on Tain, players are much tighter than Tribecca and usually have some idea what they're doing. Huge bonus going on at the time so bonus whores were abound.

Opponent hadn't done anything stupid but haven't played all that much with him. Effective stacks $125.

1. UTG limps, UTG+1 raises to $5, CO calls, I raise to $21 on the button with [Ac][As] and only UTG+1 calls.

2. Pot $47, flop [Th][Tc][2s]. UTG+1 checks, I bet $32, UTG+1 calls.

3. Pot $110, turn [Kd]. Awesome. He checks I check.

4. Pot $110, river [3s]. UTG+1 goes all in for $70 more. Hot damn this sucks, hero?

Pot the flop (what's this 32 into 47 nonsense? that's an awesome flop, JJ-KK will have a hard time getting away), then push any turn. If he caught his miracle 2 outer on the turn suck it up and move on.

against an ABC/tighty i think you can easily fold the river once you realize just how drawless the flop is.

against most players i think you call river some of the time because they will sometimes have low PP's that mistakenly feel they need to bet the river. and most players are monkeys that lose all perception of what to do once the pot is 3-bet preflop, so they'll sometimes peel one with AK. i think on average i go something like 60% call/40% fold (if the river bet was pot sized it would probably be 70% fold/30% call).
