Last time I bluffed him

Postby iceman5 » Sun Jan 21, 2007 10:47 am

$1/$2 NL at Prima

I limp [Ah][8h] UTG. Questionable I know, but Ive been doing this profitably for a long time so.....2 MP limpers and both blinds play.

Pot $10 Flop [9c][3h][2h]. Blinds check, I bet $8...a fold and then a guy with a full stack raises to $25.28. Blinds fold and I call.

Pot $61. Turn [Tc]. I check and he thinks and checks behind
Pot $61. River [Kh]. How do you play this?

About 4 hands ago, I raised $7 with 76s and this same guy reraised me to $22.96 from the BB. I called. Flop was K92. he bet $26 and I raised to $70. he folded and I showed...so hes probably not happy with me.....

So what do you do here? Weak lead? Overbet? Check?

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

I think from your earlier bluff you've set yourself up for a nice overbet here. Sure he may have absolute squat and fold out but if he has reasonable hand he's very likely call. I'm with T-Rod and I push.

I bet 45-50 for value, and hope he might see it as weak and push
