What a turn card...had the sb taken this line and was full, I'd probably have folded...but the BB?!

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)

Preflop: Hero is Button with [7d], [7s].
3 folds, Hero raises to $4, SB raises to $12, BB calls $11, Hero calls $8.

Flop: ($36) [6s], [Qd], [5c] (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($36) [7c] (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $13, Hero raises to $40, SB calls $38 (All-In), BB raises to $81, Hero calls $41.

River: ($236) [8d] (3 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $236

Results in white below:
SB has Ac Kc (high card, ace).
BB has Qs Qc (three of a kind, queens).
Hero has 7d 7s (three of a kind, sevens).

A cold caller of a reraise is typically a hand that villain can't bring himself to fold but is afraid he is behind.

TT-QQ is very common. BB played this pretty bad though.

However, once again, I get stacked here too. Not much you can do when you have what should be the 2nd nuts (since 89 should not be involved here)

I really think you can put most BBs on a tight range here. LIke triple said big pairs TT-QQ maybe sometimes KK or AA and big unpaired like AK or possibly AQ from some villains, but TT-QQ is the most likely. *Edit* and contrary to the thread title, i think a cold call from the BB here should definately set off alarms.

Aside from betting far too little on the turn BB played it fine IMO. Hero played this hand fine as well and there is no getting away on the turn regardless of of whether or not action was coming from the SB or BB even though you know QQ is a distinct possibility from either.
