I'm a little fried right now because I played 5 hours today and this hand took place in the 1st hour, but here's what I did was check. My thought at the time was my opponent must be afraid of AA if he's competant at all. Why would I not check if I just flopped a set of Aces. If he checked behind I would think that he may not have an ace and then bet the turn.
He bet $23.75 (or pot). If I would have bet anything considerable it would have pretty much eaten up about 2/3 of my stack. I'm thinking he had AK. If he would have bet smaller I may have c/r'ed him, but I ended up folding. UTG+1 ended up playing fairly solidly for the remainder of the session. Was it that bad?
I posted this hand while I was still playing, right after it happened. Oddly enough, I was dealt a big hand the next 4x in a row that I was UTG on either table. I've started experimenting with limping more than just AA/KK UTG and here's how they worked out.
1 - KK Lost $11.50 as you know.
2 - KK again and I limped. 2 limpers behind me. 442 flop. I bet $2 (4/5 pot), SB called, BB called. Turn Ace. Checked around. River 8. BB bets $3, I fold, SB c/r to $20. One of the blinds had to have hit that flop I figured and I easily got away from it cheaply.
0-2 -$14 total.
3 - QQ UTG, a hand that has been absolutely killing me lately. 3 limpers behind me and then BB raises to $2.50. I was planning on re-raising, but BB was a rock. I just called and 2 others called behind.
77J flop Pot $10.75
Checked to LP caller who bet $6, I check-raised to $12 just to see what he'd do. I would probably fold to a push. He called and a 3rd 7 hit the turn. I pushed and he called $25.35. He had KJ so this time it worked.
1-2 +$28.60
4 - AA UTG. 1 limp behind me. SB raises to $2.50 I re-raise to $10 and he calls. Flop is KxJ with 2 hearts. I have

. He checks and I put him in for $27.70. He folds.
2-2 +$38.55
Any problems with those plays?
