Postby Tyrannic » Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:22 pm

Situation-

Table Doesnt like me and is fed up with me taking down alot of small pots. It might not help that im talking S**t.

The Villain with the big stack has been loose and called down a shorty with tp no kicker and won in a 40$ pot. He is runnen at 50/5.(100 hands)

The short villain I had no read on. he was runnen at 28/0.(30 hands)

Im 24/17.

Absolute Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $144.45
UTG+1: $121.30
CO: $24.45
Button: $41.10
SB: $33.05
Hero: $131.55

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with [4d] [5d]
UTG raises to $2, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: [5c] [9d] [Ad] ($6.25, 3 players)
Hero bets $4.25, UTG raises to $8.5, CO calls, Hero calls.

I guess I should have 3 bet flop but against bigstack fish I felt a diamond wouldnt deter him from pushing.

Turn: [5s] ($31.75, 3 players)
Hero bets $24, UTG raises all-in $133.95, CO calls all-in $13.95, Hero calls all-in $97.05.
Uncalled bets: $12.9 returned to UTG.

River: [Ah] ($180.7, 0 player + 3 all-in - Main pot: $73.6, Sidepot 1: $214.2)

Results:
Final pot: $180.7
Hero Shows 4d 5d
UTG Shows 9s 9h
CO Shows Kd As

Giantgrwth: I like check raising there better than betting
Giantgrwth: In case he has a small ace, you don't want him to be able to not get it all in
Gauntlet45: in this scenario would u CRAI to his bet?
Gauntlet45: which would prob be a goot amount
Giantgrwth: If it was roughly a pot sized raise yea
Giantgrwth: If it was like 1.5 pot even

On the turn...whadda ya gonna do, you are completely happy with the turn card and are loving it...I'm getting all my money in there too.

I wish I was just good enough to recognize this situation for what it is...I'd probably do the CR line Xas and BK did on the flop...that looks best.

I think if you had about ten or fifteen minutes to analyse the situation on the flop, and had a vicious read on your opponents, you might fold the flop. It doesn't look very safe with the minraise on the flop by the PFRer and the cold call after that raise. Easily the cold caller could have a bigger FD or a set unless he's just a CS.

I just keep looking at this hand and then think, "You are screwed here, completely screwed. You have no escape...reload!"
