Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

iceman5....glad you posted this. I play live cash games twice a week and don't play on-line. I like to limp / min raise in MP & LP with AA/KK/AK when I have a LAG to my left who i KNOW will raise with any two cards in position. when i comes back to me, i 4bet which usually gets me HU with LAG, 8 out of 10 times. just last friday night, i lost $100+ on a hand with pocket AA. i was in MP, LAG was to my left...PF, i made it $3 to go (.50/1), LAG raises to $10, folded to me. i then raised it to $25, LAG called.....flop, KJ9r, i bet $35, LAG called with KQ, turn trash, i bet $55, LAG called...he rivered a Q (don't remember his river bet but i called it).
After thinking about the hand, i asked myself why he would he stay in the hand? Could it but that i kept him in the hand because the amts of my bets? in other words, did i make it +EV for him to continue?
