Doyle vs Gold

Postby MTPaid » Tue Jan 16, 2007 1:38 am

Interesting that on both poker shows tonight (High Stakes and Poker After Dark) Jamie Gold tangled with Doyle very early on. In the High Stakes show, Gold tried to bluff Doyle with a post flop raise, but it didn't work. Then the 1st time they tangled on PAD he tried the same thing and Doyle said, "I've seen this before." and called him down again.

Matasow probably had the best line of the night, saying that it's a lot easier for Gold when he's saying Trips, Flush, Straight Flush every hand.

Also found Doyle's line about AQ interesting as well. At a 6 handed table, he raised UTG and took the pot. I know Doyle wrote that he doesn't like AQ in SSII, but after the hand he said that he'd usually muck that hand and only played it because it was on camera.
