Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

BTP is a wonderful place full of funny and intelligent people. The average IQ must be sky high and there are people from REALLY diverse backgrounds, in terms of the poker community (I'm reastic - I realise we aren't gonna see any bedouin tribesmen playing 1/2 stud but having some right-wing southern religious types, all the way to socialist pinko euro-lefties, it's a nice mix of beliefs and ideas within the kinda Euro/American poker community, and most of the regulars are intelligent and fairly thoughtful). I like the way the high signal-to-noise ratio bores the dumbasses quickly so that even if they don't get banned the donks whose first post is usually "lololololol u so suxxxxorzzzxxssxsxsxsx at LHE, go back to fffxxxxxinnnnn skool gayboy" kind of tire of it quick enough. Though I'm still here nearly 2 and a half years on, which is a pretty big downside....

I like this place for all the above reasons...and the fact that MVP has offered a place to crash in LV has to be a plus. When we going ED?

Along with many of the sentiments previously stated there's my utter amazement that some of our posters actually eat this Image with obvious enjoyment and without batting an eye. One can only wonder at the cannibals hidden beneath the civilized veneer Shameless!

I love livepokerforum for 4 reasons;

1) I never have to look at or put up with crap.

2) I can speak my mind as a serious hobbyist and be taken seriously when I do it.

3) I can openly admit how novice I am (and quite often in the same posts as for reason #2), and count on an informed and respectful response ... willing to discuss ideas for the benefit of both parties.

4) It is a friendly and personal experience ... we give and receive support beyond just poker.

My favorite place to be at home while on the internet. And a favorite place to come back to when I'm not.
