UTG (villain) min raises. He's been doing it all night with a variety of hands. One caller... I told my brother to reraise (we were splitting this session between us) but he didn't have much time left and just ended up calling. everyone else folds.

yay a set. It's 4 handed. Everyone, including preflop raiser (villain) checks to us, we bet $85.
Folded to UTG who raises to $170. We call.

TURN $425

I'd bet $200-$250 I think. If he had flopped the nut straight you would have seen a bet from him on the turn or the river unless he is incredibly tricky. and can put you on a hand so strong you won't be able resist betting again. I think your opponent probably holds something like 2 pair or A-K A-Q where he has a really strong hand but he has to respect the power of that board. I'd be willing to play for $590 on the river so if he comes over the top of my bet I'm calling (again, no one would check raise the nuts and then check twice afterwards. You'd have to have seen him do this play sometime before to lay down to it here I think). Checking can't be right because you are sure to have the best hand, you just need to figure out what kind of bet you can make that will get paid. Bet too low and he might think you are trying to milk him (though he may call anyways) bet too high and he might lay down some strong holdings just because it costs too much and there is a decent chance he could be beat when you didn't fold to the check raise. A half pot or a little more than halfpot bet is still sizeable at 1/3 his remaining chips, but also an amount that you might get him to call.

I bet $250-300. And I probably call if he checkraises. 250 I fold to a checkraise, 300 I call. I think.
I dont like a check on river when opponent showed that much weakness. And I dont think an overbet is a good idea since there aren't many missed draws. And alot of weaker holdings will call a value bet.

If he has KQ or AA he played it very strange (see stupid).
Why did our heroes check the turn? I almost never see someone checkraise flop, then checkraise turn.
Is it possible that UTG thought heroes were stealing on flop and then checkraised to resteal?
