Wouldn't having multiple accounts make it easier to sneak the money back into the US by sending transferring money to those accounts have his grandma and whoever withdraw smaller amounts.

Because, as I remember from the time, he was playing the $500 SnG's, the big MTTs and the biggest NL games on Party then were 2000NL. There was no sensible reason to have anywhere near what he had in his account. Unless he didn't want to cashout large amounts because he didn't want to pay tax.

Jesus guys let it go. This guy is going to be around for a long time in the live big MTTs, please dont start a thread like this everytime he is leading one.

Yeah ED, your right, it might not be over. And yeah hes obviously a douche- but i still say that there oughta be some regulations in place which at least require some administrative proceedings and/or a reasonably convincing showing that the confiscation is justified before someone is permitted to deprive you of your livelihood with the click of a mouse button, and then leave it to you to bring a big lawsuit in a foreign jurisdiction with whatever money you may or may not have left.

I think they couldve conducted themselves more reasonably and still maintained the integrity of the game, i mean ffs im not sayin let him get away with it, im just sayin if your gonna hose someone out of his entire broll for 'cheating' then you oughta at least have to show that its a reasonable thing to do--

TBH, i think when a poker site does somethin that would be so obviously impermissible in every jurisdiction i can think of (in the US anyway), and gets away with it, its just as bad for the integrity of the game as it is when people cheat. Hell, they mighta even been within thier 'rights' with respect to thier T&Cs but that doesn't mean thier T&Cs arent a load of unenforceable one-sided bullcrap...It'd be like if you got caught cheatin after you won a big tourney in vegas, and after they took your winnings, Bellagio security rolled you for the 50k that you had in your pocket, because you were a regular there and they just assumed that you got that by cheating too, and then justified it by pointing to the sign that says 'by playing here your agreeing that, in the event you are caught cheating, we get to roll you for all the money you have on your person.'
Thats the sorta crap that gave poker a bad name in the first place, IMHO...If poker wants a good name so bad and to have integrity and shit, lettem do shit fairly, and by the numbers, instead of basically doing the online equivalent of kneecapping someone..
