Would the company offer a warranty if they weren't making money on it? Nuff said.

it's def no +EV.... at least in the long term. i use to work full time at staples... triust me i know. (even though i'm drunk)

$130 is actually pretty decent considering... but you're stiill going 9-1 that the laptop will break. if it's is big chunk of your money than i guess for shortterm security it might worth it.

long term you're a loser ( you have to be if the house is making money off the warranty sale.)

"Extended warranty? How can i lose?"
--Homer Simpson, after getting crayon removed from brain

seriously though, if you're not terribly computer-savvy and it gives you some piece of mind, go for it. also it'll probably save you some aggravation if/when stuff breaks. in general i think extended warranties are a rip-off...but laptops i think they're ok for, since they're so specialized and prone to breaking.

btw, when i googled that homer simpson quote i found a lot of links to discussions about extended warranties...
