Okay, first off I played very tightly during yesterday's session. My VP$IP was <19 for the day and that's playing exclusively in 6-max games. I called w/ this hand b/c there were two fish at the table that kept min-raising pre-flop and then making really weak bets post, that allowed people to draw very cheaply. Yes, calling w/ 43s is probably a bad idea at almost anytime, but I think I played this hand correctly. If not, please mock me accordingly.

First off I don't necessarily think calling a raise with 34s is a bad play. This was an unfortunate result, but chances are with a flop like this you are gonna win lots of money. As discussed in an earlier thread, calls with small suited connectors are more +ev than calls with hands like KJ. It is just so easy to fold this when you miss, and when you hit your hand is disguised.

I agree with Devil, I dont like calling this raise heads up, but in a 4 way pot, I'd rather have 43 suited than KQ or QJ. You played this hand just fine. You were getting im[pied odds to make this call preflop, than on the flop you got all your money in with the best hand and got busted by a 4 outter, it sucks but thats poker. This is exacly why you play suited connectors vs a raise and not KQ, KJ, QJ. Since player like your buddy with AA will lose his stack to you when you hit a big flop.

Good play, these are the hands you want your money in with so don't be upset.

That's easy to say, because I'm still upset about a play 2 days ago. I had poket 77, flop is A,5,7. After some raising/reraising we get all in, the opponent had 2 pair AA+55, to catch a 5 on the turn and beat my set. I accept more easily loosing to a flush draw, but these 4-outer hands just frustrate you... That's poker...

I love the 50 raise, which will get the guy w/ $55 to give you another raising opportunity...i try to use that move alot...especially with a dominating, but vulnerable low str8...

Sucks you lost, but he was all in with 4 outs...you have to like that....

i would have raised more..because a good player will recongnize that min. reraise as pure strength and put you on a set or a straight.
