Reading a Tribeca Donk (200NL)

Postby T-Rod » Tue Dec 12, 2006 9:26 am

One of the most difficult things to do at Tribeca is put a guy on a hand because you see wild hand ranges. I observed this hand and knew exactly what villain had only because it was Tribeca.

Villain is your typical loose Tribeca player. His caller is decently tight.

Villain raises in EP to $6 (x3bb). The CO and OTB call. BB is decently tight. Villain started with $160, and his opponents cover.

Flop ($18) K[h] 6[h] 2[d]. All checks.

Turn ($18) 7[c] Vilain checks, CO checks, OTB bets $13. Villain min raises, CO folds, and OTB calls.

River 9[c] Villain open pushes.

What does Villain have? What do you think Villain would have at a different site liek Prima/Stars/FTP?

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

I'll go with KK/66/AK.

When I play a patient and relaxed game I win - that simple.

KK, no doibt about it. He would not raise 77 or 22, and would only play postflop the way he did with a set.

[Th] [8h] or 66
Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

At full ring, this is KK/66/22 every time. Probably KK 80% or more.

I'd go with KK here, usualy when i see this pattern at players there is a big slowplayed hand.
