Beca 1/2NL, hero has $300, villain has a full stack

Dealt [8s] [9s] in the SB

Ep raises to $10, 4 callers including myself take the flop

Flop is [Jh] [9h] [8d] , pot is $41

checks around ( I was foolishly looking to CR)

Turn is the [2s] , pot is still $41

I lead out $30
only villain (BTN) calls, she was not the PFR.

River is the [8h] , gin

What do we bet?
What does villain have?

Check raising in the land of calling stations is not a good play IMHO.

I cannot tell you how many times I've been called and just flat shocked when we turn them over.

I push.

Here's an example from last night. I have K[c] Q[c] in the BB. It's 4 way so I just check adn complete.

Flop T[c] 9[c] 2[s]. I'm firing away and get 2 callers. Turn a brick. I ck/ call a weak 1/4 pot bet.

River A[c]. I open shove. Button calls me with a full stack with 8[c] 5[c].
