I had the exact same hand tonight except I had AA and he had [Ac][Qc]. He raised 6x preflop, I reraised to 18x then pushed for 2x the pot on the ragged 2-club flop. He called and hit. It sucks but there's nothing you can do.

With the money in the pot your push is +EV even if he flips over his hand.

against someone with a $32 stack at a $200NL table i'd just start flipping coins until i bust them. you end up with several 50/50 situations and then eventually they'll call with A8o when you have AKs.

Youre slightly behind but that doesnt matter. Its still the most +EV play.

The flop bet was $20. If he has nothing and folds you win. In this case he called as basically a slight favorite, but it cost you $20 to try to win the $27 pot plus his $20....so it was $20 to win $47...better than 2-1 when you were a coin flip. This is how we win money in the long run.
