I honestly think Sklansky is not very intelligent.

Whilst the Theory of poker is a great book and may have been groundbreaking in it's day, it isn't actually very complicated.

Anybody who remembers trying to work out the odds of rolling a score of 7 with 2 dice in Maths at age 13 shouldn't having too much trouble calculating their outs. Pot odds are implied odds are basically common sense. I think he seriously overrates his own contribution to the game.

In addition his new book on NL is weak. he calls Axs a standard playable hand. I don't remember exactly but I am sure he advocates calling raises with Axs as standard. Poor poor advice.
