Again you may well have got away with this at micro stakes as TPTK players will happily play for their stack - that said you have precisely one pair (even if it is an overpair) - his play is screaming strength.

Either he is hugely overplaying AQ or JT or he is beating you.

You must learn to get away from unimproved overpairs when your stack is at stake - trust me it will save you $1000's over your poker lifetime..

When I played those stakes, I had a similar situation instead of a 9 was a 7. Same bet/raise happened and I thought a while before folding and he showed 77. Alot of the times at these limits its good but at higher, I'd fold

Ok, it seems the consensus here is that:
1.(especially at higher stakes) with this betting pattern calling the AI with the overpair is a big enough loser EV wise that I shouldn't even worry about those times I'm ahead and how many of those I might win, I should just fold to the continued show of strength.
2. At these stakes, 3xBB with no limper isn't big enough preflop. Try 4x minimum.

Question: Does this change at all with AA(the folding,..not the raise amount)? If so how much more often do you call?

The point was, you only have one pair, and the way it was played out, he's saying he can beat one pair, so with that board AA or KK doesnt make too much difference. 4-6x bb and 1-2bb/limper is okay, some say not enough

Every raise should be more than 3xBB. Every time. 4xBB + 1xBB per limper before you is really not a bad rule of thumb. Add 1-2 more BBs if you're playing at micro stakes, the table is full of calling stations, and/or you will be out of position.

If I'm in the BB with AA-QQ and 6 people limp at a passive table, I don't hate even a 10x raise.
