2-6 favored against 6-2 team?

Postby iceman5 » Thu Nov 09, 2006 5:07 pm

(2-6) Pittsburgh favored by 4 points over (6-2) New Orleans
(2-6) Tennessee is a 7 point underdog to (6-2) Baltimore
(2-6) Houston is a 10 1/2 point underdog to (5-3) Jacksonville

Anyone see anything strange here?

PS...I'll be at the Pittsburgh game on the 50 yard line

Baltimore only by seven? That seems like a nice bet. I figure Houston will cover too. Pittsburgh is hard to tell...if they don't turn the ball over like they have been, they have a pretty good chance of winning.

Teams with bad records that I expect to see improvement from in the 2nd half.

Miami (2-6) - They are better than they have played so far and they came on in the 2nd half of last season as well. It may have started last week.

Pittsburgh (2-6) - Probably a bit over-rated at the beginning of the season. They did only win 10 game if I remember last year (maybe 11) and just got real hot at the right time. Still, we all know they aren't a 2-6 team. Turnovers and schedule have something to do with that.

Tennessee (2-6) - They are young (no pun intended) and Vince seems to be getting a little better each week.

Arizona (1-7) - Another team with a rookie QB who is coming along well and has more talent than their record.

Team that may come down a bit....

NO (6-2) - They are better. Bush and Brees make them better, but I think they are playing a bit over their head so far. Some very tough road games on the horizon.
