Just moved to Full Tilt to get away from this sort of thing, but I guess this was my initiation. This was the 1st big pot I played on FT. Flopping top set doesn't seem to work to well for me.

Folded to me, I re-raise to $4. MP2 calls.
[Td][Qs] P = $8.25
I bet $4 (I think it's the right amount to keep him with me if he has anything), he calls.
P = $16.25
Not my favorite card, more afraid of the flush than anything else. I check, he bets $5, I c/r AI for $10.45. He calls, turns over [Jc] for the straight. I miss the boat on the river.

Not too upset though as I came back to finish +1 stack. More than I can say when I start off like this on another site.

Bob - I still think I'm ahead and I thought I wanted his money in there. I can't put a guy that calls a 4x PF reraise on AJo. If he had the flush so be it. My money was going in anyway and he wasn't going to fold. If he doesn't have the flush, the c/r is the best way to get him all-in.

Bri - I bet only half the pot on the flop because I wanted him in. I said I was more afraid of the flush than anything else, but when your HU, I can't just assume that everyone I play against was on the flush draw. (He wasn't.) If he doesn't have the flush draw, I have him drawing nearly dead most times (remember I said I didn't think he had AA/KK or he'd have re-raised PF) and I feared that betting closer to pot might have scared him off. Note: I definitely would have bet closer to pot if I still had only the over-pair. Here, there is just no way I want him folding.
