First time, long time

Hey guys, really like this board, been a lurker for awhile but decided to post my first hand here.

I'm playing a 1/2 live game and it's become three handed.

I have about 450 in front, SB has 600, BB has 900. I'm on the button with A8o and raise it to 8, both players call. The flop comes 8 5 2 rainbow. The SB checks, the BB bets 20, I just call, and now the SB raises to 50, BB mucks. (History on SB, a pretty bad LAG, will get himself into trouble chasing draws, I would estimate at arond 60% that I have the best hand here. His range would be hands I beat: 86, 87, 98, T8, J8, Q8, K8, tie A8, A5. Hands that beat me he would do this with: 85, 52, 22, 99, TT.)

What's your next move?

3-handed is all about reads. Especially live. Nobody else can possibly know what you have seen from this guy in the past, with as much detail as you know about it. So what to do depends on the guy and how the play goes from here. TPTK is a big hand here, but I'm unlikely to want to stack off with it for more than 220 BB!

I agree with call and re-evaluate.

In general he is a pretty loose calling station, I'll give you a hand as an example.

The btn called 2, I was in the SB with AJo and just decided to limp (I don't always do this), the BB (guy in above hand) checks. The flop comes QT6 rainbow, we all check, turn is a K, I check, he bets 15, BTN calls, I raise it to 45, The BB calls and btn folds. River is an Ace, I put out 80 and he called down with Q6.

After the hand I had asked him if he would have called an all in check raise by me (over 400 dollars), he said he would have called me instantly.

well if thats the case then I take back what I said about A8 earlier. I also would be as nice as I possibly could to that moron while separating him from his money - then I'd ask him if he wanted a ride to the ATM.
