What's the problem with illegal immigrants in the USA exactly? I didn't think it was much of an issue.

Nobody else will do these jobs at the same pay because the wages are often either barely minimum wage or sub-minimum wage. Employers can usually illegally hire them much cheaper than they could a US citizen. If the illegal immigrants weren't around to take these jobs, employers would have to pay US citizens higher wages to perform the same jobs. Granted, these normally aren't jobs that are in high demand as ED says, but if the pay was better..........???
