I have problems with these oop

Postby poker2006 » Wed Nov 08, 2006 3:20 am

Any suggestions on other ways to play this? I'm having problems with a lot of these. Do you bet the turn small to protect your hand in case he didn't hit his draw? Do you make a blocking bet on the river? Just fold turn?

I think you have to be against a ballsy opponent to raise a $60 bet on turn with a worse hand than yours.

My line is bet $60+ and fold to a raise. I dont know if it is optimal ut I think you HAVE to do it because lately everybody is floating all kinds of flops....

As was stated before I dont like the check call on the turn. Either lead or check/fold. Calling gives you no info and no control over the hand. I lead 40- $50 on the turn and give up if you get called. Check folding the turn is not a terrible play IMO. The turn means that pretty much everything that was drawing just got there. So unless the guy has AXd you are behind.
