5/10NL Full Ring: Turn Semi-Bluff

Postby mecha » Wed Nov 08, 2006 1:15 am

What do u guys think? Villan is TAG, VPIP 15, PFR 6, AF 2.36 and knows my game well.
I was trying to represent a set (TT or AA) or perhaps AT. I rarely make big all-in semibluffs like this.

No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $5/$10
7 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: $1614
Hero: $1000
MP1: $295
CO: $2211
Button: $830
SB: $1005
BB: $1168.75

Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is UTG+1 with [Jc] [Ac]
UTG folds, Hero raises to $35, MP1 folds, CO calls, 3 folds.

Flop: [Tc] [As] [4s] ($85, 2 players)
Hero bets $41, CO raises to $99, Hero calls $58 (pot was $225).

Turn: [5c] ($283, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $222, Hero raises all-in $866

The problem is you fold out worse hands. but your hand has a lot of showdown value. maybe you get AQ to fold out, but i don't see any other better hands than that going anywhere.

i'm not saying it's a awful, but i'm not really sure it's a bluff.

I like Kenny's idea of betting the turn. Maybe kind of small, 1/3-1/2 pot to try to get a reasonably priced river card.
