Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

I realize this the standard push with 15 outs play, but do you really think that a 20/10/1.5 guy here has a overpair or A8?

I think the idea is you have FE and that makes it worth the push, but I see this type of guy having a set here WAY more often than some overpair, etc (its a limped pot). I'm guessing set 75% of the time and A8/99 25%. If he has a set, pushing is bad. If he has A8 and just raised, won't he shut down on the turn/river giving us our draw cheaply? Wouldn't a reraise and not a shove tell us this?

he had top set. i was 40/60.

if he had an over pair or A8 i was 56/44 which i'm very happy with considering there was already 150 in the pot.

T,
i'm not sure why you put him on a set automatically. but how would you play it instead?
