Mainly for the common sense economic and social policy.

The abortion thing is unfortunate, I think people should be able to do what they want. I could write a book on abortion but I'll refrain.

The poker thing is a minor issue to me in the grand scheme of life (although I can understand why this isn't so for you).

Republicans probably aren't lying to you just for kicks (although I can't prove this). Don't want to get in a whole WMD debate but, I don't buy into the liberal line on this one.

The patriot act is somewhat shitty, but also uncharacteristic of overall republican values and brought on by major crisis.

Taxes. Personally I'd be favor in a completely flat tax rate. The gap in tax rates between rich and "poor" is ludicrous.

Iraq sucks. War sucks. Bush has his opinion on correct strategy for this thing, other people have theirs, either way it will change as soon as someone else is elected president. Democrat or otherwise.

I don't see why people bother talking about torture. Does anyone honestly believe that any other country would hesitate for half a second to torture our soldiers? I don't. And I also believe that no matter what politicians say or do our people will still use torture as a method behind closed doors. Honestly, I kinda don't want to know about it.

I've been a staunch Republican for every election up to this last one, where I voted against GWB. I share many of your same views.

The only reason I'd vote any Republican into a Federal office next Tuesday would be if the Democrat actually wound up being more corrupt than the Republican.

I will vote to put Republicans into state government, most especially the Governor position, becuase our Democrat Governer bitch has, for the last 4 years, done absolutely nothing to help the state and needs to be fired.
