JJ I've found that is doesn't matter that much. You just double up off the donks like Hard2tel that are throwing their chips around like wildfire. :)

I usually do well in rebuy tournies because of this. After the rebuy session the fields do seem weaker than average too.

I don't have nearly as much tourney experience as Hard2tel though.

If you don't effectively know how to use a big stack to your advantage in a tournament (ie. your going to stack off with 1 pair when you have 300BB's) than using the maniacal rebuy strategy is not a good idea.

I figure the way h2tel plays it give you the highest probability of going deep, but on the other hand you end up NEEDING to go deep to make up for your 852,000 rebuys. Its like the other year when Negraneu came in like 5th at the rebuy event to make a somewhat modest profit.

h2t's strategy is just a higher variance way to play mtt rebuys imo. However, it's actually not all that risky since he knows how to play a big stack well, and has the funds to back up going batshit insane on rebuys, which means he'll end up doing very well after the rebuy period ends and he can just play his game with a comfortable stack.
