The BB bets $4. Its folded to me. Lets see. What does the BB have ladies and gentleman? A flush draw maybe?

I raise to $35. He calls. Ugh! Hes really going to pay that much to chase it?

The pot is $88. The turn is the . BB leads out for $4 again. Hmmmm..You think he hit his flush? Fine I'll take the 22-1 odds to hit my boat. I call.

The pot is $96. The river is the . BB bets $48. I raise all in to about $300 or so. He calls.

Bye Bye flush chaser......

The flop raise... why do you raise so big (pot is 26, you raise to 35)?
Turn call... I think I would have raised here but you made a good call. Do you raise here sometimes? Or you just knew he had the flush?

I think you got away with one on the river here unless you know for a fact that this guy is a total fish. I guess by the betting patterns he might be. Why exactly did you push all in on the river? I would probably have value bet the river, since any decent player folds to that big a reraise with anything but a monster.

Always nice to hit running quads though.

He had the flush and there was no doubt in my mind he had it. Anyone who plays a flush in such an obvious way will also play for his stack with a flush even on a paired board which is why I raised all in.

He didnt even have the nut flush. It was ten high.

Kalle, raising that turn when you know he has a flush would be really bad. Why would you do that?

The reason I rased to $35 was
#1...I wanted him to fold since I didnt even have a jack
#2...I have to give him really bad odds to draw. When I raised to $35, that made the pot $57. Hes facing a $31 bet so hes still getting almost 2-1 to call. If I raise less hes definately correct to call.

My question is how could you play with such certainty he didn't have a Jack? I am all for betting out to gain information but when he calls your raise then he is either hanging his hat on the top pair in which case odds aren't a factor in knocking him off the hand or he is on the draw.

Would you have played it differently if a brick hit the turn and he lead out?

Again, I was 95% sure he was on a flush draw. Ive played him before and alot of the scandananvian players play draws just like that.

I only know one guy who would lead a draw twice after getting raised on the flop so I would fold if he led the turn after a brick hit.

I had a hand against that one guy a couple days ago. Flop was KJ4 with flush draw. He led the min and I raised. Turn was another king. He led min again and I raised bigger this time. He called again. River was a brick an we checked it down. He had Qxs.

Playing a draw like that is very rare but I have a good read on that guy. Against anyone else, I fold that hand.
