How about a break Mr Schedule maker?

Postby iceman5 » Sun Oct 15, 2006 10:46 am

OK, so the Steelers arent playing well, but lets look at their schedule.

They beat Miami who stinks
Lost to Jacksonville who is 3-2 and damned good
Lost to Cincy who is 3-1
Lost to SD who is 3-1 and have the best RB in the league
They play KC who is 2-2 and have the best RB in the league (I know I said that already)
Next week they play Atlanta who is 3-1
They get a break with Oakland
Then they play New Orleans who is 4-1
Then Denver who is 3-1

Its gets easier  in the 2nd half. Of the last 7 games, they play Balt who is 4-1 and they play them twice, they have to play Cincy 3-1 again, plus they play Carolina who is 3-2 but lost those 2 games whithout Steve Smith and is obviously much better than 3-2. This has to be the toughest schedule ever assembled in the NFL.

I hate to do this, but I declare Pittsburgh officially out of the playoffs. No team is good enough to comeback from 1-3 with a schedule like this in a conference as heavily overwaited with strong teams as the AFC is right now. It cant be done. if they were in the NFC, they might have a chance.

Hmmm, Grossman and the rest of Da Bears will be grateful for the bye week now after that MNF abortion of a game against the Cards. Arizona lost that game.....we didn't win it.

Dennis Green going nuts was fun though... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1h71vEQtCM

Theres 2 wildcards spots. Den or SD (which ever doesnt won the division) will get one.

One of Balt / Cincy / Pitt will win their division. That leaves the other 2 and Jacksonville for the last wildcard spot.

So 2 teams out of Balt, Cincy, Pitt and Jacksonville arent making the playoffs.

Cincy / Balt / Pitt have really tough schedules and will be beating each other up as well.

Its not going to be easy. I think its going to take an 11-5 record to get in as a wildcard and with that schedule, Im not too optomistic. Of course, if they play like they did last week and can sustain that, then they could run the table.
