Now is your oppurtunity to meet a low limit poker donk in person. Many of you folks have been very kind to me in my time here and so I thought I'd throw out this oppurtunity. No, I'm not dead, and no, I haven't quit poker. Job has been more than a handful. The bad news is that this will be it for me at Bet the Pot for a long time. You guys have all been great, but a series of unfortunate events has occured that will curtail my poker playing in the near term future.

1. I recently commissioned as an Army Infantry Officer and will be in full time training for the next 2-6 months, and following that I will have my hands full acclimating to my unit.

2. Due to the recent passing of the anti-online gambling initiative thing that was signed playing online poker is pretty much illegal (if it wasn't already before). In any case, it would be not smart of me in my line of work to play poker on a military post network. I'm not sure if there would be any repurcussions but I can't take the risk as it would be a career ender.

So pretty much I'll be sticking to the Native American Casino's and social gaming from now on. I'll still probably check in and post every now and again, but gone will be the days of daily updates. You guys have been great and have helped me a great deal in poker. Oddly enough, my enhanced knowledge of statistics and strategy have affected me positively in other decision making aspects of my life.

As a final note, I'll be going on a little casino tour of America next week as I move to Fort Sill for my initial training. Anyone who wants to hook up with me and have a drink and donk up the tables please shoot me a message or a post.
