I don't think the Vikings D was that special. The Bears running game, normally our strongest asset, has been anaemic(?) since week 1. So the load has been on Rex and co, and for the last 2 games he's been doing it

So when Rex was faced with many long 3rd downs on Sunday, the Vikings just constantly sent an extra 2 blitzers right up the middle. I don't know why the coaches never adjusted for that. Sure Rex threw the Vikings their only TD, but he came back and won it.

Lets hope the running game improves for when we play the Seahawks, or we've no chance. Plus, the Bear's D needs some tackling practise this week, they were god awful yesterday.

shockey is a joke

he is a tight end, even if he is an impact tight end he only touches the ball 4-8 times a game on average (I would guess) maybe 10-12 on a good week but not on a regular basis

what a joke of a player. teams get enough drama from stupid wide outs who can't shut their yaps and half the team being arrested for DWI's or domestic violence or the love boat crap, they don't need a tight end chirping.

it's almost as bad as when the kickers start doing it.

My thoughts on week 3?

Jets Jets Jets

Every time the Giants and Steelers lose, it makes my tiny blackened grinch-like heart feel the joy of a child.

How I despise those 2 teams.

The Raiders used to be up there on that list too, but now I'm just watching them in horror like a car crash. Art Schell could be the worst coach of all time. Does he even move?

so I was checking shockey's stats

here are his averages (for his career)

4.54 catches per game
54.7 yards per game
18 Td's in 57 games
5 fumbles in 57 games

I am sort of impressed, he is about the same as an average reciever. I guess he can be like T.O. too!

New England has simply lost too much to maintain the status they've enjoyed. Everyone said they were the most impressive organization ever, and enjoy it because you'd never see it again. And so, they seem to be right. The Pats are an average team, now, esp without average wideouts, which both Branch and Givens are. They've just lost too much to expect the same excellence. But, where's the excellence now, and how many Super Bowls will they win?

I believe the Pats are actually in rebuilding mode. They've been way ahead of everyone else in their organizational methods, so there's no reason to doubt they've got something in mind.

Unfortunately, Tom Brady seems to be paying the price, seeing his best years wasted--last year, this year, and next year. He won't pull a Shockey, but he's pissed.
