Sadly, trunkpirate, I don't think your generation can pull it's collective head out of it's Nintendo-playing ass long enough to pull their pants up to their waist and do something about anything. Your generation has been so spoon fed everything that it has absolutely no ability to think independently. From before your births, you're life has been planned by your parents from play dates and soccer to planning for college while in kindergarten. Your generation is known for going along with the group. You don't rock the boat, because you've been catered to by your parents of MY generation who has totally messed you all up. Your generation is going to have a helluva time fixing anything because you don't know how to fix something and can't be sure until a focus group tells you its broken.
Sorry, but those aren't my thoughts, but those of psycholgists and marketing people who have studied your generation since you were born.
You've mastered group-think. Unfortunately, thats not a problem-solving skill.
Now, lest you think MY generation has done a bang up job, we didn't. We let greed and a desire to be perfect at parenting, and the fears of our parents lead us into this. My generation has been about winning, as in winning more money, more THINGS, more everything. We're the lost generation. I have no idea what happened to us, but it sucks.
I hope your generation has better luck overcoming itself, but you're in for one helluva surprise. Our generation was the first generation ever to do worse than its parents. And you're doomed to do worse than we did. You're riding a declining civilization and have no clue it's coming. Welcome to your new world, m'boy. One that can't be covered up with tatoos and piercings and rap lyrics.
