The iPod shuffle is CHEEEP! Then again there are loads of 1GB solid state players that are really cheap and will get the job done.

But anyway, I'm not too keen on iPods. I'd hate having to use iTunes regualarly.

I thought the same thing before I started shopping, but after dong some comparisons I decided the iPod really was the best value for the amount of space you get.

Do you have a feel for how much music you'll want to put on it? One of the reasons I'm glad about getting the 30GB iPod is because I'm able to fit all of my music on it and don't have to worry about un-laoding and re-loading music to have different songs on it. Plus I know that I've ALWAYS got whatever type of music I may be in the mood for.

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

I thought Gryf was wishing Aids upon iPods. But that makes even less sense.

the biggest thing (in my opinion) is the I-pod has a ton more support behind it. From technical to i-tunes support to hardware failure to apple accessories.

you can get anything for an i-pod but try finding an adapter to play some crappy MP3 player over your car stereo, it isn't that easy

I just think the support makes up for the price. Plus I-tunes is nice once you get past the week+/- learning curve where you will want to shoot yourself.

also the nano's in particular are so nice and small, I just really like them

although I do reccomend you get a protective cover of some sort
