This proved to be the tourny of the RIVER. Many a good man got knocked out on 5th street, the RIVER.
12th - 23rd saw many good players hit the rail.

11th Twelver...he just wasnt getting any good cards, put up a good fight.
10th Briachek...anyone reaching 10th in this one is good, but it wasn't his day.
9th Anders He reached the final table...was big chip leader on and off early
on...respectable showing.
8th Avarice...noone knew who he was, well almost noone, he was also big chip
leader for first part of the tourny...well done.
7th Kowboy hung in there for the longest time...he was low stack trying to get to the
final table, and did it....he got it all in w/ a pair of Q's, got called by Big Slick and
unluckily got rivered with a K...always a tough player.
6th Lucia-Cortez...who WAS this guy? or Gal? The avatar of this solid player drove
men crazy the whole tourny long. HOT...very patient player.
5th GHaus...the Rasputin of the tourny...on the ropes many times, but he wouldn't die.
Solid Rock...finally succombed in 5th...good job.
4th KennyG this was no surprise to make it to the top 4...played well...quiet as a
mouse during the tourny...but 4th place did his talking.
3rd Cactus JAck...big chip leader MOST of the tourny...his game has definately risen to
a new level...got a few lucky hands at first to build up, or was it some new book
he'd read? and played solid poker from then on...used the big stack well...stealing
blinds from the button like a Swiss Clock...knocked out MANY players at the final
table...he was the Greg Raymer...alas, he got chipped away, but a very respectable
3rd place IN THE MONEY finish.

There was a LOT of envious rail bird talk, but no doubt there was some solid, and top notch poker playing going on. This one would have been a very exciting one to watch on TV....they wouldn't have had to edit out many hands.

It came down to GodLikeRoy, the Aussie who predicted he would win it all BEFORE the tourny started...and WILDBILL...looking to avenge his dead man's hand.

Final hand, WILDBILL brought it in for a raise...ROY called...flop was something like this:
xxK with 2 clubs...WILDBILL bet small, hoping to induce a reRaise...and ROY did...WILDBILL having the K, put his stack all in....ROY thought for about 3 seconds and called with the Ax of clubs...the nut flush draw...

Turn came nothing...

This was the tourny of rivers you know...

River came the club and AussieRoy took it all down.

WILDBILL 2nd

GodLikeRoy 1st place....well done...

Erm, I think Roy's 18-19. Something like that. Some of these youngsters play good.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

I picked up JT sooted and thought it looked good. I raised to 80 and then Anders re-raised to 240...but he did the same like a few hands earlier so I thought he didn't need to have like JJ+...so I pushed figurin he'll probably fold...or if he does call show like AK or AQ...but he showed AA and I was f-cked...

I flopped a royal flush...but then I opened my eyes to see what actually happened...flop was K high with no clubs and I was dead to a runner runner straight...turn killed me...

OHHHHH WELLLL I THEN SLEPT TIL LIKE 8!
