Topic 1:

How do you deal with a short stack that reraises you often?

For example, I had QQ vs a guy who was running 4.2/2.7/X after 500 hands.

Thing is, I'm sitting at about 47% equity vs this range, but I'm not sure how much of his 2.7% of raises are reraises.

Anyways, it bugs me taht these guys are sitting at the table with 16bb or whatever. If there's a way to effectively deal with them, please let me know.

Was my play so far ok? What do I do on the turn? I just picked up a double-gutter, so I'm curious if I should check it through, or bet to protect vs flush draws.

Really the only way to play the shortstacks are to wait for hands and bust them on one hand. As long as the guy doesnt have more than about 30 BB's i call there all day with QQ, KK, AA, or AK. JJ probably not with him at 4/2.

In regards to the hand, i would probably bet $2. Most of the time he has something that u beat right now. Dont give him a free card.

1) I love the short stacks. I specifically want them at my table, and often will not play if they are not at least 2. Here's what I do. I accept that I am going to have variance against them and that's just part of it. I'm even willing to get in to coin flip situations, because I know eventually I'll take their stack. If I have TP, I'm putting them in. If they're LAG and have position, I might CRAI. I'm continuously putting them all in. Why? Because they will feel bullied and the will take a stand. I've seen them take a stand with 2nd pair.
