Only 13 deaths in recorded history worldwide from stingrays

wow - by comparison there are 82 lightning deaths/year in the USA alone,

worldwide it is estimated that 200+ people die each year due to coconuts falling on their heads...

http://www.montrealmirror.com/ARCHIVES/ ... /hsg4.html

annual peanut deaths in US are about 300 (200 from allergy, 100 from choking)

now that is unlucky, in poker terms a guy that unlucky would be the anti-Chris Moneymaker........

I may be a terrible person for saying this, but i don't feel sorry for him. I think he's a great guy, and it's definatly a sad loss to lose someone so full of life, but lets face it, everyone knew this was gonna happen sooner or later.

Now, i feel awful for friends, and his wife, and especially his two children. They weren't the ones putting themselves in this spot, and it has to be heartbreaking for them to lose him.

But come on, there's only so many times the guy could say 'crikey. lets see what happens if i enrage this croc by sticking my face inside it's mouth'.

Yes, the guy knew what he was doing, but he and everyone around him were aware that this sort of thing is a possibility on the job every single day.

And lets not forget, he died doing what he loved doing best. How many people can actually say that? I mean hell, short of a fatal orgasm, what way could he have possibly gone that would have been better?

Anyways, i have the utmost respect for him, but i dont' feel sorry for him. just those around him.

Fatal orgasm? sigh Someday.

Richard Pryor used to say his father died while having sex. "He came and he went."
