UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, CO folds, Hero calls, SB calls, BB checks.

Villian is kind of tight. I usually just limp this pre-flop but if Im opening the pot I raise it up.

Flop: ($0.1, 5 players)
SB bets $0.04, 3 folds, Hero raises to $0.08, SB calls.

Yesterday I just called on the flop and then on the turn and then on the river and the pot was larger than it should have been. This time I raised the flop just like you guys pointed out to me and took the free card. If my hand improves then its a different story.

Turn: ($0.26, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($0.26, 2 players)
SB bets $0.08, Hero calls.

Villian probably made some kind of 2-pair like they always do when I just have a pair but since I checked the turn I expected to be calling a river bet here.

Does this look standard?

This is far from standard.

Raise AQo against limpers at these tables, especially on the button.
Raise the flop much harder.
Bet the turn.

Do this and you'll rarely be having to call the river, so if it's checked to you bet the river again.

Definitely raise preflop, 4 or 5x the bb. You're on the button with a very good hand and you don't want to give all those donkeys a chance to outflop you. If you raise preflop, SB will fold his 97o, UTG will call with his K10 and then fold on the flop when you bet the pot.

OR, SB will call you down with A5/A7 anyway and will end up getting more of your chips, but at least you can take satisfaction in having played the hand more correctly.
