Another useful example of the limp reraise

Postby Stelvask » Tue Apr 05, 2005 1:36 am

200 nl on stars. i have a $250 stack. my opponent seems solid enough from past sessions.

I get KK utg and limp. 3 more limpers to the SB who raises to $10. i reraise to $40. a short stack in LP calls off his stack. SB says " nice AA " and folds.
final board is Axxxx and i drag against LP's 55. SB calls me a ******* for making him fold AK.

Had i open raised here, the SB would have called without much hesitation, flopped TPTK, and had me in a rough spot.

Instead of losing a mid sized pot, i won a smaller one, but i'll happily take it.

Dustin, funny you posted this (which seems to be the popular topic of the day...) cause I used the slowplay AA/KK reraise too... Worked for me too... Won like $150 when normally I bet them out and everyone folds to me...
