Postby MVPSPORTS » Thu Aug 17, 2006 3:11 am

Okay, I obv. don't know my ass from Twelver's elbow about stocks and investing and crap... I was trying to do some research and came across these Mutual funds in MSN Money... Maybe I'm dumb, but they look like they're they're paying like 45% or some such crap a year.. .Are these things good/bad/indifferent...???

past results do not predict future performance.

in fact, quite the opposite is often true.

future performance can tell you past results?
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

The future is a mirror of the past, grasshopper.

Or something.

If you want a fun ride, invest in Latin American funds. Or any "emerging market" funds. They go up and down like crazy.

If you want to hold on to your money, for God's sake don't buy them. Or at least they should represent only a small % of your total investment.
