I was up against 44 and 88.

I don't like re-raising preflop with so many people left to act behind me and the fact that i've seen so many donks re-push with AK, AQ or TT/99 and i'd be forced to lay the hand down. I prefer flat-calling and then check-folding if i miss my set and get 6 callers than re-raising TBH. If I was in late position i'd re-raise for certain.
