I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn a coupla times. The best was in a small amphitheater with 2 other acts that opened for him. You may have heard of them, Bonnie Raitt and Robert Cray Band. Absolutely freakin awesome show.

Hmm, memory's a bit foggy now but these ones were unforgettable...

The Damned - Electric Ballroom, late '70's
The Clash - Hammersmith Palais, ditto
Blurt - The Moonlight, '79; Africa Centre, mid '80s
Iggy - various

I saw Stevie Ray right after he got sober and it was not a spectacular show, to say the least. More preaching than playing IMO.

Best show I saw was Gregg Allman at a small opera house, with an 'all star' band of Southern Rock and Blues musicians. Great, great stuff.

2nd best behind that was probably an Aldo Nova/Great White/Scorpions triple bill in 1985 or so at an outdoor speedway. Lots of big-haired 80s chick titties flying around that night.

Green Day sounds great live, and they actually got fans up there to play part of one of their songs and gave one kid a guitar. Best show.

Incubus when they toured with Hoobastank was really really good too.

2 Stand out:

Metallica's when they did their tour for their "Black" CD...No opening act, about a 3 hour concert.....They did 3 sets.

The other was a George Thorogood concert I saw. That one was a combination of the music plus the whole additude of the crowd. It was just like a giant party
