Yep, Mr Cary Grant, star of dozens of wonderful films, used LSD more than 60 times during an illustrious Hollywood career spanning several decades.

What's next, deleting my journal then making a post about the deletion without debating it? Or do you need people to complain first then justifying it with "notice how few defended you publicly and how many argued against you publicly". Maybe you should delete the entire journal, then start a post here saying "If you don't agree with management decisions, leave". Perhaps even locking the thread afterwards since there's no point debating the reasoning with you.

I don't believe you, Ice. I don't think you like me much at all (although I agree you probably don't HATE me). It's okay, I don't like you either.

I found the original mushroom post interesting up until it devolved into a journal of upcoming and recent escapades. I did PM EP9 early on with some concerns about his post, which he did immediately address. If the photographs that I posted in the original thread of the different mushrooms (folowed immediately with an admonition to not do drugs), I apologize to those who might have been offended. Picking wild mushrooms is a hobby of mine; I did not mean to suggest that you should go looking for those mshrooms. Muscaria can be fatal. There are mushrooms that resemble psylocibin mushrooms, specifically galerina autumnalis, that contain amanita toxins and poisonings are frequently fatal. Don't wild eat mushrooms unless you are expert in identification.

I agree with the idea that we are guests here, and that as guests we should be sensitive to the hosts, and avoid putting them in awkward positions. That said, this probably could have been handled better, and preferably privately. I once unwittingly made a post that iceman did not appreciate. He deleted it and PM'd me, it was taken care of in private.

EP9, I think it is time to move on from this. And seriously, lay off the drugs man. It isn't about censorship. It is about being a part of a larger community, and respecting diferences of opinion and having an appreciation for the fact that posts here reflect on the entire community. Certainly, you can appreciate that a lengthy thread on drug use makes some members of the community uncomfortable.

Weird thread.
