Apparently Materazzi (the Italian defender) wished Zidane's family die the worst kind of death or something, which is basically about the worst curse you can think of in Italy apparently (along the lines of "your wife is a whore and her pussy smells of fish", although perhaps less funny); Zidane used to play in Italy.
To be honest I just get sick of all this trash-talking and crap. Teams like Italy, Portugal etc. seem to gain such an advantage by being basically reprehensible human pussies and using any underhand tactics possible to get other players sent off, win free-kicks and penalties etc. Ugh.
All teams who use lame pussy cheating tactics (i.e. everyone except British and Scandinavian teams, African teams, USA, and some of the Asian sides) should be banned. And buggered by a horse.
