Yeah, I know all about it.
"More than 80 people were arrested or cited after undercover officers infiltrated an illegal high stakes game of "Texas Hold 'Em", the most popular card game in the country"
LOL..72 people were written tickets for gambling. This is the same as a speeding ticket. Pay a fine and be on your way. There were only 8-9 people actully arrested and they were dealers and the owner.
No player's money was taken. A grand total of $34K was confiscated from the "house". This was no big operation. It was a piece of crap little hole in the wall in a very high crime area of Dallas. Picture the projects...and then think about a place a little worse. It was busted because there is / was going to be people getting killed in there. Its no place that you would want to go, believe me. There are underground games all over Dallas that are well known and theyve never been bothered by vice. Unless some complaints start to come in, I doubt anything is going to be done about it anytime soon.
"It's being called the largest raid and seizure ever, on an illegal poker operation in Dallas."
Thats because its the only one in the last 10 years.
