I'm playing the 1/2 NL, holding my own, just loving life when it hits 12:30, time to go... As I look at the screen, I'm 3 away from the blinds, and I figure "I can't give up free hands... I can just drive a little faster to get to work"... mistake #2...
So, I unclick the autopost, start to get ready for work, and see my last hand
... yuck... kind of a crappy way to end the session, but oh well, at least I didn't lose anything...
I'm putting my shoes on when I hear that beeping that tells me its my turn.. I look at the screen, and dammit I'm the big blind... I guess I didn't unclick the autopost button after all... Oh well, out 2 bucks... guess I'll just fold it out, but it's the very intruiging
... two limpers to me and hell even I'll check...
Flop
... hmm...
I'm kind of afraid of the flush, and really have to go to work, so I bet out $20, expecting 2 folds... Instead MP2 thinks for like 1000 years, then calls and I'm sure hes on a flush draw... Then the bane of my existence CO goes all-in for about $100
turn is
. I've given up on the first hundred now, and am pushing my last $50 to get the chaser to call since he's pot committed, and at least cutoff my losses...
river
, Mr. allin flips over QQ, the chaser picks up a nice $400 pot w/ his flush, and the poker gods take a dump on me... $190 bucks down on a hand I didn't even mean to play...
I guess my question is, did I overplay the 2 pair? Obviously in this case, yes... but in general, if you flop 2 pair, how hard will you push it out on the flop? Would anyone have called that $100 allin? Did Mr. allin way overbet the pot when he tripped? At least I can feel good that that jackball didn't get my money... Anyways, moral of the story for me is not to play poker unless I'm prepared to sit for a couple hours... I think some of my rushing to get to work clouded my judgement, or maybe I just suck...
Sorry bout the long post, just venting, and any thoughts would as always be appreciated...
